Slopes of 45° to 70°

• Hyson Cells are well suited to covering large exposed slopes because they come in modules as large as 200 m² but are still light enough to be handled on site.
• The integral patented rigging allows the cell mat to be soil nailed to the slope
• The cell blanket can be filed from the top of the embankment with mechanical equipment (shown here).
• It should be noted that although this approach will combat surface erosion it does NOT stabilise the underlying material. The slope must be stable in its own right and the Hyson Cells blanket should be adequately secured against itself slipping by generous use of deep soil nails. Catchment drains should lead water off the the slope
